Park Tool School

The Park Tool School is a hands-on maintenance and repair clinic written by Park Tool and taught by our service experts. Learn how your bike works, how to change a flat or overhaul your bike completely. Clinic curriculum and materials originate from the BBB-3 Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair (included with class fee), which acts as the outline for each class. For this season, we will be offering 2 classes: a 3-session Novice class and a 4-session Intermediate class.

Classes will be capped at 5 students per to ensure plenty of hands-on and one on one instruction if needed.

Novice Class - This is approx. an 8-hour class broken into 3 sessions. Students will get an overview of the entire bike. The emphasis is placed on checking equipment and being aware of when it needs adjustment, repair, and/or replacement. (ex. checking for chain wear and what problems arise from riding a worn or dirty chain). Demonstrations are a large part of this class, including some hands-on with the student's own bike. By the end of the class, a complete Basic tune-up will have been performed on their bike.
